My son does not like this game. It would be good for any kid that likes I spy games.

I have been playing this game daily for weeks now. I have played through it completely several times but I just can't put it down.
It is a seek and find game similar to Mystery Case Files Millionheir. You get a list of objects to find in the picture. Once you find them all you get another puzzle to do before you complete the stage. The puzzle will be one of the following...tile swap, jigsaw, find the difference in the two pics, mah-jongg match, or memory match. There are also two very hidden glyphs in each object search. As you find these you unlock Unlimited Seek & Solve where you have to find all the objects in the picture. This is great for practice.
The story is boring but you can skip through it quickly.
This game is great for kids as well as adults. Although you may have to explain what some of the words mean to your kids as some can be tricky. A couple even had me digging to the back of the memory bank.
I also love that you can quit and come back to it very easily.

This game is so much fun! It's got find an object and puzzles. Yes, some of the pictures are used over, but I don't mind at all. I increase my time solving the puzzles is all. I enjoy it!

This game was fun but it could be made even better if the graphics were not quite so microscopic and vague. The story is intriguing but a bit wordy at times.

If you love the seek and find games this is a great one! I just got back from a trip to mexico where I visited these very same mayan ruins and you wouldn't believe how accurate this game is to the actual ruins site! It is fun to go inside each of the areas and find new things. There is a bit of a history lesson in the writing as well. Between searches you have to complete matching, puzzle, find the difference, or majhong type tile games to get to the next round. If you find mayan masks in your search it unlocks new levels. Most of these games I have beat in no time and sell right away but this one keeps the fun going! I highly recommend it!

I was looking for more games like Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir which is still the BEST for gamers who like hidden object games. This game is good, and I have trouble putting it down, so until there is another Mystery Case Files as good as MillionHeir, this is worth your time for the cost.
Anyone who finds an equal to the Millionheir, please let me know!

Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins is a fun and relaxing games. I spent many relaxing hours playing it and would recommend it to anyone who likes seek and find games and easy puzzles.

When I saw the cover, I instantly thought this was going to be a good seek and find game. Once I received it, I was disappointed because it is just like the "Mystery PI" game. I guess next time I will take the time to read the specs before I just buy.

The game is fun and entertaining. Love the mini games.
This game could of been perfect had the makers included some kind of magnifying tool to use on searching for small things, like bugs, keys, etc.
While playing I find the things I can see and for the little stuff, I use my own magnifying glass for the small things. Would of been very helpful if the game actually had one built in. How hard could that of been?
All in all it's a fun and entertaing game. Just some things are hard to see.
This game is very similar to PI Mystery.

Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins is a mystery type, seek-n-find game. Although it is basically a wannabe of the Nintendo's Mystery title, it's still a decent puzzle game to play on the Nintendo DS.
The gameplay consists of several mini-games such as jigsaw puzzles and memory tests. There are 20 missions each consisting of 5 levels of gameplay. The game cycles through seek-n-find puzzle to mini-game to seek-n-find and so on. This flow seems to work well in this game because the mini-games present some needed refreshment to the constant, repetitive nature of the seek-n-find.
PopCap has released a casual but solid, simple puzzle game that is well worth the admission price.

This is another seek & find game I bought and is just as much fun as Mystery PI: Portrait of a Thief. This makes my total 3 and am still looking for more of them. These are enjoyable for many, many hours even after you have solved the mystery.

The game is really fun during the first time around but it starts to repear and then becomes a repeat of the places with different things to find.

If you like the hidden objects page in Highlights for Children you will like this game. The mini games are extremely simple and there are not very many. Basically, you just keep picking different areas to find the hidden objects and as you complete each area you play a mini game in between. Okay game for some relaxation after work but not exciting or challenging. I like the game but don't love it.

This game was quite challenging. I really enjoy trying to find objects in different locations. I really liked this one. Can't wait for more just like it.

I enjoy these types of games! It makes you think! Also checks you memory....as you progress through the game you must try to remember where you previously found objects. Good game!

My 5th grader says it is fun after playing 3 or 4 times. My kindergartener is still new at reading and had a tougher time, but seemed to enjoy the seek and find nature of it.

The only drawback for me is that instead of a few searches and then a puzzle (for instance), there is a puzzle after each search. I like the searches better so I like a set up like Millionheir more.

This game has been the favorite of our 7 yo and both of us parents ever since it arrived. I admit that after playing it addictively for 2 days in a row we all put it down for a while because you do tend to get tired of the same scenes when you are playing it 24-7 (ha ha!). But a less obsessive enjoyment of it sets in when you pick it up again, and it has plenty of variety and challenge for all of us. I have now reached the forgotten ruins, but as a lover of puzzles I still pick it up to play it all over again. Our 7 year old is getting advanced reading practice from having to read the list of items she must search for. We all do tend to skip over the journal entries- they weren't all that exciting because they didn't actually challenge us with much of a mystery (it was too easy to predict what would happen) or archaeological facts.

I like seek and find games and find them addicting. However, I thought this one would have a little bit more of a story line. I was also hoping that with new levels there would be new areas to explore and different mini games, but it got a little repetitive.

A seek and solve Mayan adventure. A fun puzzle game and fun to play.

I purchased this game because I absolutely love puzzle games. The game is fun and can keep you entertained for hours. The only problem I have with this game is the fact that where the screen on the DS is so small you have to move the screen from side to side and up and down to find all of the items in certain areas/boards. This gets to be alittle bit of a pain after awhile, but if you can make it through that then this is an Awesome game. It would also make a great gift for anyone that has a DS as well. Overall its a great game, but can get alittle repetative.

Did'nt necessarily go by the reviews on this game". "Altho i did read some"!. When I read that the game was a search and find game then my interest was peaked. You never know what a game will really be like until you buy it and play it.Have bought alot of games that I thought might be worth getting. "Only to find out they stink and just end up tossing them in a draw or giving them away. This game is very very long, which is great.Has like 20 levels of 5 seperate levels to do to get thru one level.."Does that make sense" ? ha.Well,if you like search and find games you'll like this one..I had a hard time putting it down.
Any game that challenges me i like..I would recommend this game for anyone that likes search and find genre.

This "hidden object" game was the worst I have played on the DS, or ever. Here's 4 reasons why:
1. it is fun for a while, until you find yourself going back to the same exact place over and over - finding pretty much the same objects (which really sucked the fun out of it)
2. the graphics were not very good, not the worst but by far not the best
3. even the mini-games at the end of each hidden object level were repeated over and over - they also were not challenging
4. there is no mystery or story even worth following, I quit playing because I was sick of doing the exact same thing over and over again - the "mystery" was so lame I couldn't care less to torture myself and finish to see the ending
I would definately recommend Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir or Cate West The Vanishing Files for the DS instead. Millionheir being the better, because even after the mystery was solved, I still play in free mode.

I really like this game. I have it in PC format and DS. However, I find that playing it on DS is a little easier. The difference between PC and DS is that in PC you have to find scarabs, and in DS you have to find masks and tablets in order to gain mini levels.
It's really fun, the items aren't terribly hard to find. I say that because some games the pieces are so tiny on DS format that you can't hardly see them. Although these items are hidden well, you can find them without a problem.
Happy hunting!
